Mark Copeland, the Chief Innovation and Marketing Officer for Osmose Utilities, wrote about a white paper that Oklahoma Gas & Electric released regarding how they have improved their understanding of the grid after dealing with the setbacks in the severe ice storm of 2020. They have reviewed their grid structures and built up weather resilience, among other things.

For this update, Dave Bryant, the Director of Technology for CTC Global, shared a link about how the Biden-Harris Administration announced how they will be providing $13 billion to improve America’s grid. They will be utilizing advanced conductors and other technological advances. These advances will make it easier for grids to use this new technology.
Con Edison Wins ReliabilityOne® Awards

For this update, Allan Drury, the Media Relations Manager for Con Edison, discusses how Con Edison won an award for being high in reliability in the region that they cover. Con Edison has worked to provide safety and security for their customers. Con Edison is also making sure that the grid is reliable, so the grid does not go down during tough times.

Danielle stresses that education, customer experience, and connecting with underserved communities are essential to help this transition occur in an orderly manner, so electric vehicles do not overwhelm the grid.
