    Daniel Sullivan is a nationally recognized expert in Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) and High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) technologies. As Business Unit Director at POWER Engineers, he leads strategic energy advisory services, grid modernization initiatives, and advanced transmission planning. His leadership spans technical innovation, business development, and client engagement across utilities, developers, and regulatory bodies.
     Mr. Sullivan is a leader by example as a trusted advisor to IOUs and Developers on study and application of advanced transmission technologies, including all essential engineering and power system analysis aspects from initial planning stages through study, design, and commissioning.
    Dan has managed the FACTS and HVDC business lines, providing both technical and commercial management of advanced grid solutions such as SVC, STATCOM, HVDC, synchronous condenser, and series capacitor systems. He established product lines, sales teams, and system engineering teams that produced significant growth in FACTS and HVDC transmission solutions. His successes with FACTS & HVDC are founded on a core understanding of power system analysis and related electrical transmission system performance, control strategies, and equipment applications.
    He is a senior member of IEEE authoring many technical publications and articles, an international lecturer at industry associations and universities, and a proud US Marine Corps veteran.
