This weekend, negotiations stopped short of a long-term deal. One of the major snags? Tehran reportedly refused to reopen the strait. Now, Trump says the US Navy will begin blocking the strait on Monday morning—which could push oil and gas prices even higher.
Trump also (yet again) threatened Iran’s infrastructure, including the power grid and water desalination plants.
