After losing five straight cases to reopen construction on offshore wind projects, Sec. Burgum dismissed the rulings as merely coming from "court judges" and signaled the administration intends to take its battle to the Supreme Court.Â
Meanwhile in Congress, a new bipartisan proposal aims to end the regulatory whiplash. The bill would legally prevent Republican administrations from revoking wind permits and Democratic ones from canceling oil and gas licenses.
