Access On-Demand Recording Below:

The electric power system, critical to the economic vitality of the country and the wellbeing of society, is facing significant challenges to reliability. Extreme weather events (EWEs), which are happening more often, are threatening the infrastructure that supports supply and demand. Moreover, the energy transition, which is the technological transformation of the energy sector from fossil-based systems of energy production and consumption to renewable energy sources like wind and solar, is challenging the predictability of supply. When you combine these two factors, the delicate juggling act of balancing supply and demand is becoming much more difficult.

During this session, panelists discuss the latest Publicis Sapient white paper: Overcoming Threats to Electricity Reliability on EWEs and energy transition, and answer the question on everyone's minds, “How can utilities better predict, prepare, and respond to these threats?”

Why View

  • Hear research into the growing threat of extreme weather events
  • Learn about the energy transition and its impact on the predictability of the energy supply
  • Get a first look at survey results into EWE and Energy Transition preparedness
  • Hear reliability case studies and project snapshots
