Letter from the Community Leader:

Utilities have recognized the need to have data at all steps of operations: real-time tracking of supply and demand, sensors providing information on the health and status of their assets, regular charts of information flowing to and from customers, and more. However, data can only be as useful as it is accurate, analyzed, and ultimately actionable.

Moving the utility thinking from simply collecting data to figuring out how to best utilize and provide business intelligence is key to this next digital evolution in the power sector. And various members of the Energy Central Community are undoubtedly thought leaders in this vital topic at such a critical moment. Knowing this, the Energy Central Team recognized it was time to feature these topics in our latest Special Issue.

Your access to Member Features is limited.

As is always the case, our community responded just like we knew they would, and the submissions received after our call for articles were impressive. Now that we've put it all together, I invite you to dive in and learn from these industry experts in the full Special Issue: Data Analytics & Intelligence

I'll also note that we often receive more submissions than we can include in the newsletter, so be sure to read through all the articles included on our Special Issue Topic Page.

Finally, the release of the Special Issue isn't the end of the topic but just the beginning. Let's make this Special Issue as interactive as possible: all the authors who submitted articles encourage you to leave comments, questions, and ideas in the comments section. Keeping this dialogue is how the industry can move forward on this vital topic.

Thanks, and happy reading!
