NEWS: Duffy to announce nuclear reactor on the moon

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy’s first major action as the interim NASA administrator? A nuclear reactor on the moon. (Politico)

  • Duffy is expected to announce expedited plans and a more definitive timeline for building a 100 KW nuclear reactor to launch by 2030. Already, NASA has funded research for a 40 KW reactor for use on the moon.
