Grant County

Central Washington combines the best of all the Pacific Northwest has to offer:

  • With lots of sunshine and a dry climate (less than 10 inches of rain per year), enjoy the outdoors with plenty of opportunities for boating, fishing, and hiking. Also, Grant County is home to the world-renowned Gorge Amphitheatre, which attracts top musical acts from around the globe.
  • Our low cost of living; variety of healthcare options; excellent schools; and large variety of fresh, locally-grown farm, orchard, and vineyard offerings make it a great place to thrive and prosper.
  • Moses Lake, the county’s largest community, is rapidly growing and expanding services and amenities. It is also convenient to the regional hubs of Wenatchee, Ellensburg, Yakima, and Tri-Cities area (Richland, Pasco, and Kennewick). Plus, you’ll be within easy driving distance via I-90 of the metropolitan areas of Spokane and Seattle.

It’s no wonder Central Washington is one of the fast-growing areas of the state!

Grant PUD

  • Grant PUD was built by a community of forward thinkers. Residents formed the PUD to bring electricity to the county in the 1930s. In the 1950s, they encouraged construction of two dams on the Columbia River to provider renewable, low-cost power for themselves and future generations.
  • The utility serves more than 40,000 customers, with the capacity to produce more than 2,000 megawatts of clean, renewable electricity.
  • With two dams on the Columbia River, approximately 4,000 miles of transmission and distribution line, 20 shoreline-area recreation sites, multiple service and office locations, and strong cultures of safety and community engagement, we are Grant County’s premier employer.
