  • Evaluate, revise and update electric load and/or generation forecasts for the District’s electric utility and customers, as required.
  • Verify power supplier and transmission service provider’s invoices and customer energy services billings.
  • Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of periodic statistical reports and analysis on power and transmission use and costs.
  • Maintain databases on District’s electric system load, power supply, and transmission services use and costs.
  • Coordinate with customers on demand side management initiatives, including energy efficiency, load control, and behind meter generation projects, including renewable energy alternatives.
  • Participate in both initial investigations and more specific analyses of energy resource alternatives.  Work to include, but not limited to data collection, resource modeling externalities and cost/benefit analyses.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of District policies to assure compliance with NERC and WECC electric system reliability standards and utility industry best practices.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and managing strategic initiatives related to the District’s electric utility power supply portfolio and customer services, consistent with the District Commission’s Strategic Plan.
  • Responsible for special projects, as assigned by Assistant General Manager, including team inter-departmental projects.
  • Participate in District’s Commission meetings and workshops, and conduct presentations for Commissioners, customers and the public, as directed.
  • Must be available to work non-routine and emergency shifts including nights, weekends, holidays and other periods, as required during District emergency operations events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant General Manager.
