KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Possess and maintain broad and in-depth knowledge of principles, practices, procedures, and standards related electrical, instrumentation, controls, and automation systems and associated design efforts

Responsible for overall success and coordination of the design and drafting group

Responsible to provide direction and make final decisions within the design and drafting group

Support for group size, staffing, interview and hiring needs

Support for client interface including initial meet and greet, onsite meetings, business development, selling of services, project support 

Support for development of group related proposals and man-hour estimates

Responsible for initial design on projects including development of objective and scope

Support for project team roles and responsibilities

Support for coordination with other discipline groups

Responsible for design drafting standard workflow procedures and standards Supervisor role responsible for:

Coordination of design drafting team

Weekly group reports

Weekly billability reports and billability forecast

Timesheet approvals

Out of office request approvals, coordination of out of office times

Development and coaching of direct reports

 

DIRECTION RECIEVED:

Supervision and guidance related largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts and policy matters. Check in on daily basis with supervisor.

 

DIRECTION OF OTHERS:

Coordinate and review the work of up to 10 designers

 

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum or equivalent and 10 years of related working experience. Professional engineering registration is preferred.

 

SKILLS REQUIRED

Experience with Wind, Solar, Renewable Gas, Battery Storage Systems, either project development, engineering & design, construction aspects

Excellent communication skills

WORKING CONDITIONS

Extensive overtime may be required.

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT

Travel will be around 15%-20%
