Schneider Electric and ETAP are merging the worlds of grid planning and operations with a new physics-based digital twin solution. (Engineering)
Unveiled at DTECH, the new solution integrates ETAP’s engineering-grade simulation with Schneider’s operational platforms (One Digital Grid and ArcFM Web) to create a unified model that runs on live data.
Unlike standard digital twins that focus on visualization, this system is rooted in electrical physics—allowing operators to simulate switching actions, validate protection schemes, and analyze arc-flash risks before execution.
