NEWS: Mistral AI Works with TotalEnergies to Boost Renewables Tech

TotalEnergies is partnering with French AI startup Mistral to scale generative AI across its renewables and low-carbon operations, starting with a new joint innovation lab. (Technology Magazine)

  • The gameplan to start: build an AI assistant for the company’s 1K+ researchers, optimize industrial asset performance, and help customers cut consumption. 

  • The partnership also signals Europe’s push to develop its own AI infrastructure. Mistral—founded by alums of DeepMind and Meta—is pitching itself as a digital sovereignty play that can rival US platforms in strategic sectors like energy.
