NRECA Sponsored event on POLITICO is a call to action to focus on grid reliability

I attended a POLITICO hosted event sponsored by NRECA yesterday that emphasized the need for "real action" to address resource adequacy and grid reliability. I hope the session was video-taped and will be made available on YouTube. It was excellent. I especially like the interviews with Jim Matheson, NRECA CEO, and Tom Coleman (formerly NERC EGWG chair). Both of them emphasized the importance of cooperation and collaboration to help solve the resource adequacy and grid reliability challenges facing the nation as the energy transition evolves and gains momentum. Jim cited the NERC 2023 ERO Risk to Reliability study where NERC identified Energy Policy as a driving factor to engage in broader discussions involving energy policy makers and other stakeholders in the pursuit of a reliable electric grid throughout the energy transition.
