New FERC Chair David Rosner says his top priority is to “build, build, build.” (Utility Dive)
Rosner is pushing for faster decisions on generation, pipelines, LNG, and transmission to meet soaring demand.
In his first open meeting as head of the agency late last week, Rosner highlighted guidance for colocating data centers with power plants in PJM as a near-term priority, saying reliable, affordable energy is critical to AI growth and reindustrialization.
FERC may also consider a new “blanket certificate” program for LNG exports, mirroring its process for pipelines, as LNG capacity surges.
