NAIK BENDS

During 39 years of experience in power plant, I have invented a unique solution for bringing down pressure drop across complex pipe line network. It will definitely bring down pump / fan energy charges & boost discharge pressure at end point. 


Here I shall just brief about its potential for PC lines of any power plant. Along with BFPs, PA fans consume largest share of auxiliary power in any power plant since it has to carry a large amount of coal from coal mill to firing elevation in boiler and discharge this coal in to furnace.
Although Furnace is in vacuum, relatively large air pressure is required in PA fan discharge as pressure drops across Air Pre Heater & across PC lines is very significant.


Coal is discharged from mills through PC lines which are carrying coal from mill discharge to corresponding corner of concerned firing elevation through a large number of bends. These 90 degree bends pose a large pressure drop & are perennial areas prone for erosion & coal leakages.
Ceramic bends have been introduced for minimising erosion & coal leakages but with NAIK BENDS, need for ceramic bends will be avoided. Cost wise also, Naik Bends are cheaper than Ceramic Bends. Apart from minimising erosion as Ceramic bends do, NAIK BENDS will offer following additional advantages to power plant


1. Power consumption of PA fans will reduce significantly.
2. APC consumption will reduce.
3. PA header pressure required for carrying requisite coal will reduce to about 500-600 mm water
column from existing 800 mm of water column.
4. Due to 3 above, PA leakages across APH will reduce significantly.
5. Due to 4 above, dry flue gas loss through Chimney will reduce.
6. Due to 3 & 4 above, reduction in heat rate, APC & specific coal consumption.
7. Reduction in CO2 contributing in better environment.
8. Power plant will be entitled to claim CARBON CREDITS for reduction in specific coal consumption.
9. Any site can convert existing bends to NAIK bends just by using local fabrication contract just by
Getting license to use patented idea from Patent Holder at very insignificant cost.
10. Existing bends can be converted in to NAIK BENDS during INDIVIDUAL MILL OVER HAULING without
waiting for plant shut down.


NAIK BENDS can be used for reducing power consumption, pressure drop & for increasing discharge flow rate in all diameter pipes, for all liquids and all materials of pipes.
