Mission 300: Connecting 300 million people to electricity and building a resilient future in Africa

Mission 300, a partnership between the World Bank, African Development Bank, and other partners, aims to connect 300 million people in Sub-Saharan Africa to electricity by 2030, enhancing resilience and economic growth. By expanding energy access through grid and off-grid solutions, particularly Distributed Renewable Energy (DRE), this initiative is expected to improve healthcare, education, food security, and job creation while reducing vulnerability to power outages and extreme weather events.
