Generalized fights
The popular saying "in a house where there is no bread, everyone fights and no one is right" reflects - in my opinion - the sad reality of today's world.
Countries are adopting confrontational attitudes, marked mainly by tariff retaliation between their economies.
Instead of seeking to identify opportunities of common interest, they resort to unilateral attitudes, which end up increasing costs for everyone. Whether due to the tariffs implemented and/or the resulting inflation. In energy, it is no different.
Brazil decided - a long time ago - to encourage solar energy - for example - depends on imports. High exchange rates and increased costs around the world tend to drive the future price of solar energy way up!
It is time, also in the energy area, to target Brazilian sources that make sense in this new scenario. Or will maintaining the status quo and the delightful comfort zone prevail?
