Draft Suggests Widening of CBAM

This is not the ideal source, and it does not seem possible to get an online copy of the actual draft. But Reuters and others are reporting that the EU intends to widen the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) to cover over 100 additional items. Many of these items are manufactured in China, and the change seems to cover dumping in Europe. But U.S. companies could be affected, and people should be aware of the potential change. It is not guaranteed, but likely, that a lesser measure that does cover U.S. product exports will be implemented.
