Brazil: energy and interest rates

Energy and interest rates

Given the particular conditions with which Brazil likes to manage its economy, the (real) interest rate is one of the highest on the planet!

The direct consequence is that a list of solutions that require investments are much more expensive in Brazil, especially if the choice is to finance them.

For this simple and important reason, it makes much more sense to go for solutions that do not require investments or "very modest" ones.

And the direct consequence of this situation is that Brazil lags behind those countries that operate with more "behaved" interest rates and thus enable a wider range of solutions.
