Awesome and content rich panel with Amit Narayan, CEO AutoGridMark Feasel, President Smart Grid, Schneider Electric and Florian Andreas Kolb, Chief Commercial Officer & General Manager Energy, Intertrust, hosted by ACG Silicon Valley (ACGSV).

This covers all relevant aspects of Microgrids as well as their role in transitioning to a carbon neutral and more resilient future.

1bn people globally do not have access to electricity. 1.5bn people only temporarily. The rest is highly dependent on electricity. Just imagine not having access to the internet, cloud services or mobile communication infrastructure. Microgrids play an important role in all these areas.

The (green) electrification of transportation and heating/cooling will deliver new exciting use cases.

From a data and tech perspective, there is also exciting stuff in microgrids. The amount of data such systems produces is really BIG, and they need to be managed in real-time.

Microgrids need very fine grain data acquisition and localized optimization. A perfect territory for AI and software.

Quite an exciting area right now-- it seems the capabilities of data are continuing to drive the ability of the hardware like microgrids, but then as you note the advancement of that hardware is creating new opportunities for the data work. That's a nice feedback cycle
