There’s never been a time quite so exciting to be involved with the utility industry. Everywhere you turn, leaders are talking about the digitalization of utilities and the new, agile, and innovative capabilities that such advances bring to power providers.
To capture an accurate and comprehensive snapshot of the state of utility digitalization, Energy Central decided to dedicate this month’s special issue to the theme of Advances in Utility Digitalization.
Because the umbrella term of utility digitalization can and does encompass a wide array of possibilities that touch upon every corner of the energy industry, you’ll see contained in this special issue, a well-rounded summary of technologies making splashes today. Topics covered include driving change in everything from smart grid technology to market mechanisms, customer service to hardening of the grid, efficient resource deployment to safer working environments for utility professionals, and so much more.
I hope you take the time to read through some of the groundbreaking ideas, invaluable industry insights, and roadmaps to success shared by your peers as part of this Special Issue.
