A fight over the future of NH's energy efficiency programs erupts - The Boston Globe

Concerns about personnel on the state’s Public Utilities Commission and doubts about their support of any energy efficiency program, has New Hampshire Consumer Advocate, Don Kreis, looking to block all three opposing commission members from making decisions about the state’s energy efficiency program.  Currently, residential ratepayers pay into the program with the understanding that current costs will result in long-term savings.  With NHSaves on the verge of being dismantled, Kreis is convinced people will end up paying more for their electricity.  Eversource, Unitil, and the New Hampshire Electric Cooperative are not taking a position on the filing.
