EE: "the" opportunity
Energy Efficiency (EE) is the cheapest, simplest, safest and cleanest among all alternatives to face the supply and price crisis around the world.
EE in this context includes energy sources contracting and their use.
1. Cheaper
The comparison must be made with the cost of expanding the supply side. Saving is much more economical than adding the same capacity across the entire value chain.
2. Safer
Providing additional capacity involves care in generation, transmission and distribution - much more sensitive than reducing consumption via energy efficiency.
3. Cleaner
By increasing energy efficiency, emissions are reduced. By increasing the equivalent supply, emissions are increased.
The great challenge is about the decision-making processes in this direction. It depends on the executives and boards of companies and institutions. Nothing else! And therein lies the great opportunity to be discovered and exploited.
