RIP, Human Customer Service

Artificial intelligence will replace human workforce?  Gross exaggeration or coming to fruition? Since AI chatbots like ChatGPT hit the customer service realm there has been much debate about whether it will replace human customer service representatives.  Some companies have already reduced points of contact between customers and customer service representatives.  Is it out of a need for excellence or personnel?  Many businesses have reassured employees that they are not being replaced or removed but instead they are being shifted or freed up  to tackle issues that require a human touch.  What’s your take on the rise of AI as a customer service tool?
