GridBright, Inc. (GridBright.com) is an engineering consulting, IT systems integration, and cloud-based software company focused on secure grid integration in the utility industry. Our three service lines span the electric utility value chain. They include i) IT consulting and systems integration for a more resilient grid, ii) engineering consulting for grid interconnection of renewable and distributed resources, and iii) cloud-based software services for secure grid data exchange among grid ecosystem.

IT Consulting and Systems Integration

Our IT systems integration service is focused on real-time grid management systems deployed by utilities for resiliency and DER management.  Our staff have served 100+ utilities world-wide and include world-class experts in Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) and Distributed Energy Management Systems (DERMS). 

Grid Interconnection

Our grid interconnection engineers have guided over 200 renewable generation, storage, load, and transmission developers and utilities with their grid interconnection projects through various interconnection lifecycle stages in the US, Canada, and Mexico. These projects represent over 25GW of wind, solar, geothermal, storage capacity at the transmission and distribution levels.  A well-known IEEE Life Fellow leads the practice.   

Cloud-based Secure Grid Data Exchange

Our cloud-based software as a service (SaaS) solution is aimed at improving grid cybersecurity and compliance.  We developed these solutions with funding from the US DOE and with extensive input from all segments of the grid ecosystem over the last five years. Our BetterGrids Repository (BetterGrids.org) is now used by researchers in 45 countries to exchange grid models.  Our latest SaaS solution, GRIDEON (GRIDEON.com), provides an economical and efficient solution for the secure exchange of sensitive grid and personal data among utilities and their ecosystem, including generators, service providers, vendors, and regulators.
