Forget generation buildouts, grid modernization, or advanced digital tools. While those topics are important to the power sector, the utility sector would be nothing without our customers. It's our customers who participate in innovative new programs like demand response or time-of-use rates, who push the utilities for cleaner energy, who pay their bills and provide the cash flow that helps with the continued growth and enhancements of utility systems. That's why this month, our Special Issue Series topic focuses on Utility Customer Care 2021 and Beyond.
Earlier this month, we put out a call to our dedicated community members to share articles, resources, questions, and ideas on the unique state of the customer care vertical in the utility industry today. And, the Energy Central Community responded in kind, showing that they're not overlooking how paramount this focus is.
This Special Issue, as such, has some real nuggets of wisdom peppered throughout, and no doubt when you read some of the articles, listen to the related Power Perspectives Podcast interviews, and jump into the conversation in all the relevant comment sections, you'll be inspired with new ideas to bring back to your Customer Care team.
And as always, I want to stress that this publication of the Special Issue articles represents just the beginning of the conversation. Let’s make this Special Issue as interactive as possible: all the authors who submitted articles encourage and implore you to leave comments, questions, and ideas in the comments section to which they can respond.
