After too long of an absence, the Distributech International Conference finally returns, hitting Dallas, Texas, from May 23 to 25. Several members of the Energy Central Team are in attendance, and we couldn't be more excited to make some face-to-face connections with our community members and partners after several years away from such events.
As a special thanks to our Community Partners, who help keep the community running, we wanted to help support their efforts at the upcoming event. So we asked them to share their booth locations and what they're planning to cover and discuss if they have participants speaking at sessions or hosting their own discussions. Below is a list of some of our partners who will be at Dtech. We hope you will take a minute to stop by their booth and or attend one of their sessions.

Booth Location: Anterix will be at booth #4105
Presenting: Anterix will have their CEO Rob Schwartz join Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories's CEO, David Whitehead, for a talk entitled "Leveraging Private Wireless Broadband to Mitigate the Risk of Wildfires: Mission-Critical Technology Goes Low-Band."
Tuesday, May 24 from 1:30 to 2:00 PM in Room C148:
Utilities in areas at high risk for wildfires are looking for grid modernization solutions that leverage integrated broadband wireless technology and wildfire mitigation capabilities. Over the last decade, the electrical power system has been a source of wildfire ignition. Environmental factors (e.g., climate change, increased temperatures, dry air and land, and high winds) combined with the arcs generated by electric power system equipment can significantly increase the risk of wildfire. During this panel session, attendees will have an opportunity to hear from Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories as they discuss breakthrough technology they developed with San Diego Gas & Electric—"falling conductor protection" for wildfire mitigation and Anterix’s critical role in enabling private LTE networks that support this technology using their low-band 900 MHz spectrum.
