Letter From The Community Leader:

The future of Energy Storage is “charging ahead” as new technologies are being considered and developed to help support the growth of renewable energy along with the transformation of grid operations and management.  With an ever-increasing interest in Energy Storage, we thought it was time to reach out to the community to hear what they have to say about the topic.  

What follows are the top selected articles submitted by Energy Central Community members and thought leaders working in the industry.  If you’ve been wondering how energy storage is going to affect the utility industry, both imminently and into the future, you won’t want to miss these stories, analyses, and insights shared from leaders stretching across all corners of the industry.

Audra, Thanks for highlighting this important subject. For years the GRID has tried to balance the power made to the users that peaks during the day and drops way down at night. I have even seen our local Utiltiy dumps power at night. Now with storage and the fast growing Electric Vehicles we may finally get a good balance 24/7.
