Letter from the Community Leader:
Is there anything more exciting than the innovation going on in the energy industry these days? If you ask us here at Energy Central, the answer is a resounding no. And with so many concurrent goals being pursued by our utility leaders-- improvements to reliability, integration of more clean energy, programs to enhance affordability, roll out of digital technologies, and so much more-- if you blink, may miss some of the biggest game changers hitting the sector each day.Â
Because of that, we're excited once again to hit 'pause' and put out one of my favorite annual Special Issues at Energy Central: the 2022 Innovation in the Electric Power Industry Newsletter.Â
Last month, we rang the alarm and asked our trusted community members to let us know what innovation they have going on at their organizations, happening within their partners' enterprises, and even who the leading innovative minds are in our business. And rest assured, we heard the loud response as we always do!
I invite you all to sit down and read through the submissions to the  2022 Innovation in the Electric Power Industry Special Issue. And to keep the tradition going, we also recognize four leaders in innovation who were nominated by their peers and selected by a committee of Energy Central Experts to be our 2022 Champions of Innovation. Â
And, of course, this Special Issue doesn't end with the release of these articles or the newsletter. No-- that's just the beginning! We want to see you keep the conversation going, and all the authors who submitted articles encourage and implore you to leave comments, questions, and ideas in the comments section to which they can respond. What do you agree with, disagree with, want to know more? Let the authors know with a comment! Note: you’ll need to sign in to your profile to comment, and if you don’t yet have a profile—create one here, join the community in which the article is posted, and share your thoughts and questions ASAP.

I look forward to seeing you in the Community!Â
