Charah Solutions Secures Ash Marketing Contract with AEP

LOUISVILLE, KY (February 19, 2019) – Charah® Solutions, Inc. (NYSE: CHRA) (the “Company”), a leading provider of environmental and maintenance services to the power generation industry, today announced that it has secured an exclusive contract to market and manage coal combustion products (CCPs) produced from an American Electric Power (“AEP”) power plant.
As part of this agreement, which became effective January 1, 2019, Charah Solutions began marketing specification-grade Class C fly ash and bottom ash for beneficial use by customers in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as well as northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas.
The addition of the AEP contract further strengthens the Company’s MultiSource® materials network of more than 30 nationwide sourcing locations across the South, New England, the Midwest, the Rocky Mountains and California. These locations ensure a steady and reliable supply of Class C and Class F fly ash for ready-mix concrete producers and other customers throughout the United States.
