What Is CatalyX?
CatalyX, the first Anterix Active Ecosystem Platform commercial offer, is a turnkey connectivity management solution that helps utilities realize the benefits of private broadband networks, while leveraging commercial broadband. CatalyX simplifies connectivity management by integrating state-of-the-art SIM technology, device SIM management, and private to public roaming to deliver the flexibility and security that utilities require.
Utilities can now efficiently and securely deploy and manage smart grid devices on a private network while optimizing broadband coverage in their service territories. CatalyX provides control and visibility of devices, whether they are connected to the private or public radio access network. With CatalyX, utilities can manage each device SIM remotely, which can reduce operational costs and risks. Through a single dashboard, all aspects of device connectivity can be monitored and managed including connecting to both public and private networks. Utilities can achieve available coverage at any service location, by connecting to the private LTE network, and roaming on multiple carrier commercial networks.
How Can CatalyX Help Utilities?
CatalyX supports utilities in their private LTE journey by:
- accelerating onboarding of devices during the network deployment,
- extending the private network coverage in gap areas and,
- providing back-up connectivity during private network downtime. From their private LTE network, utilities can seamlessly connect devices to commercial networks for primary coverage or as a fallback, helping them achieve the network coverage and resiliency that is required for mission critical grid applications.
Anterix CatalyX Solution
CatalyX is the first Anterix Active Ecosystem Platform commercial solution designed to accelerate utility adoption of 900 MHz private LTE networks. As today’s grid evolves to increase resiliency, support DER integration, and meet decarbonization goals, 900 MHz Private LTE delivers the security, control and performance for utilities to deliver clean and affordable energy safely. An important aspect of wireless broadband deployment is supporting a wide array of fixed grid endpoints and mobile devices. With the increased proliferation of connected sensors and intelligent grid devices, utilities need a solution that integrates all aspects of connectivity management, making it simple, flexible, and secure.
