US household energy spending hits 50-year low

As renewable energy use has expanded significantly over the last decade, household energy costs have declined. That's the conclusion of a new report from the Business Council for Sustainable Energy and Bloomberg New Energy Finance. Substantial growth in US renewable-energy capacity will undoubtedly have a positive environmental impact.
