More collective insanity.  I hope Rhode Island places a pragmatic limit on how much subsidy money it is willing to throw at offshore wind.  And it should make clear to its residents how much each will pay to foot the bill.  

Politicians love to obfuscate the cost of projects by talking up how many jobs they create.  Never mind that the cost of creating each job with offshore wind typically exceeds what the job pays its workers.  Everyone would be better off if the state just sent out no-strings-attached checks to the unemployed workers.

More "out of market" generating resource purchases in New England. RI really should look at what happened to consumer electricity prices in CT with their "out of market" acquisition of Millstone.
