NV Energy says outages 'highly likely' for some Carson-Minden and Kingsbury customers

<p>NV Energy news release</p> <p>NV Energy continues to monitor fire weather conditions and a Public Safety Outage Management event is now highly likely for the PSOM zones of <location value="LU/us.nv.kinury" idsrc="xmltag.org">Kingsbury</location> and Carson-<location value="LU/us.nv.minden" idsrc="xmltag.org">Minden</location> area on <chron>Monday, September 27</chron> starting <chron>between 3 and 6 p.m.</chron> and ending on <chron>Tuesday, September 28</chron> at approximately <chron>4 p.m.</chron> This outage will impact approximately 600 customers.</p> <p>The outage timeframe includes the duration of the weather event and an estimate of how long it will take crews to inspect the lines for damage, vegetation or debris in order to begin safely restoring power. Please note that the restoration time may change based on weather conditions or if crews must make repairs to equipment. Impacted customers have been notified via phone, text and email messages.</p> <p>NV Energy will continue to monitor fire weather conditions and will provide regular updates on the status of the outage. Customers are encouraged to have an emergency plan in place. This PSOM event will be adjusted or cancelled if weather conditions change.</p> <p>PSOM is a key measure of defense to help protect the community and environment from wildfires.
