An expected action with Hawaii's focus on renewable energy generation and energy storage.  One interesting note in this article is the maintaining of two of the four units as non-generating synchronous condensers.  This has been done in California, but as a ChE, those more experienced in T&D will have to explain that entire process.  Good planned use of existing assets to support the energy transition.
