In reality, it's not the mandate that will cause the loss of jobs. It's market forces. The mandate won't do anything that won't happen anyway. Electric vehicle sales will likely increase faster than expected, and the sale of regular gasoline cars will stop well before the mandate kicks in. So, getting people riled up about a mandate is a red herring. Rojas' attitude is correct. He will have to adapt, and so will other mechanics nationwide, not just California. Though, we'll still have used gasoline vehicles for mechanics to work on for a very long time.
