Energy Efficiency Day 2018 is this Friday October 5. Learn more about #EEDay2018. Our goal? Increase awareness for energy efficiency and all its positive impacts, through a concerted effort by the EE community (that’s us!) using social media, traditional media and other activities.

Will you join AESP and Energy Central on AESP-Energy Central EE community or Twitter in something fun to demonstrate the diversity of activities in energy efficiency?

Frankie the Firefly just heard about #EEDay2018 and is eager to know more. Such as – how to be more energy efficient and help the environment. And what do people in the EE industry do? What energy efficient programs and products are out there?

Will you take a minute to give Frankie a tip? It can be a humorous post, a link to a helpful article, or you can tell Frankie about the program, project or product that you are working on. There’s no right or wrong type of post – just give us a picture of the EE world’s many activities.

Here’s how...

1.  Anytime between October 1-5, 2018, make a tweet on Twitter or share your own post under the AESP-Energy Central Energy Efficiency Community or comment under THIS AESP-Energy Central Energy Efficiency Community post

2. Some ideas to help you create your post:

To be more #EnergyEfficient #AESPfirefly should --(share tip here)--. #EEDay2018 @EnergyCentral

“#AESPfirefly Check out --(your utility name)’s  (your program name)-- which can help you save energy by _____________. #EEDay2018 @EnergyCentral

“#AESPfirefly Get a --(product name)-- which can help save money by _____________#EEDay2018 @EnergyCentral

3. If on Twitter, make sure that your posts contain these two hashtags #AESPfirefly and #EEDay2018 so that we can see it, like it and retweet it!

If you make your tweet/post before October 5, your post could be turned into a cool graphic and retweeted, and included in a compilation video to be unveiled on social media on EE Day, October 5!
