It is a privilege to present information on MD & HD truck electrification on behalf of NACFE. We recently completed a 12 fleet deomonstration of 13 different models of electric trucks: Run On Less: Presented by NACFE and RMI. One of the most common questions we receive is whether the grid can handle this new trucks. While I have generally given the audience a positive response noting that is will take many years to ramp up the volumes in truck applications and the grid will grow to accommodate it, this article gives me pause to think that might not be the case. What is the best answer to provide to an audience with electric energy insecurities?
