Wesley Whited has been focusing on innovation in the commercial lighting markets for the past 8 years, with professional experience in utility program design, new business development, and technical problem-solving. As an experienced lighting professional, he oversaw the specification and implementation of many large-scale, commercial lighting and controls projects. He has been invited to speak on a variety of topics by many utilities and has presented on behalf of DNV GL at multiple national conferences. Mr. Whited manages all technical inquiries related to networked lighting for DNV GL. In this role, he conducts a variety of market research to accurately project energy savings scenarios to develop better program specifications. He is a frequent contributor to the Energy in Transition blog and has recently published a white paper on IoT technology for the ACEEE. He is a DLC technical committee member for Networked Lighting Controls and a committee member for the IES’ Energy Efficiency Lighting Program. Mr. Whited is a graduate of West Virginia University and holds an MBA from Capital University.
