Matt Carlson is CEO of Aquanta Inc., a cleantech startup based in Tysons, VA that develops technologies to bring water heating into the 21st century. He has served on the Board of the Peak Load Management Alliance since 2017, and served on the Board of the Solar Energy Industries Association from 2013 - 2015. Matt was founding CEO of Pangea, a telecommunications firm that built and operated a 11,000km fiber-optic network in northern Europe and raised $450mm in capital. Prior to Aquanta, he led business development at a division of management consulting firm CEB (now Gartner). Matt received his BA from Duke University and his MBA from Georgetown University, and was a Finalist for Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award (SW Connecticut/NY Hudson Valley Region) in 2001.
