Chairman & CEO of AESOP Institute & Chairman of AESOP Energy LLC. He also founded earlier Aesop Institute affiliates, SunWind Ltd.; Magnetic Power, Inc., and its subsidiary, Room Temperature Superconductors, Inc.. Mark’s work to uncover practical alternatives to fossil and uranium fuels began in 1973. He has addressed four annual Global Superconductivity Conferences, two National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) Enterprise Forums, and the 2004 Arlington Institute Conference on Breakthrough Technologies for the World’s Biggest Problems. He was nominated for the 2006 World Technology Award in Energy. He was Chief of Housing and Economic Development in Oakland, California. Prior to that he served as a Consultant on Economic Development to the office of Robert F. Kennedy in N.Y. Mark studied Electrical Engineering at the Polytechnic University of NY and California State Polytechnic University at San Luis Obispo. He earned a BA and MA from San Francisco State University and was a Fellow in the Graduate Program in the History of Ideas at Brandeis University, where he earned a second MA degree.
