Edwin Marcelo García Torres (Y'1978 -SM10). He graduated in Electrical Engineering from the Salesian Polytechnic University and Master in Energy Management from the Technical University of Cotopaxi in 2016. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Engineering at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana-Medellín Colombia. His research interests are: response to demand, SCADA-automation systems, microgrids, renewable energy systems, distributed generation and smart grids. He is a research professor at the Universidad Politécnica Salesiana-Ecuador in Electrical Engineering. Currently he is a member of the Girei Research Group.
