My role at Connected Energy is to support companies through the energy transition and help them uncover the potential of BESS. I help customers with a range of challenges - maximising sustainability and future-proofing energy strategy whilst reducing fixed energy costs, generating new revenue, optimising the use of on-site renewables and managing peak loads. This involves providing decentralised 2nd life BESS solutions - minimising reliance on the grid and maximising security of supply. Battery storage can provide the following benefits: ? Avoiding high fixed charges on your energy bill by using battery at expensive times of the day ? providing revenue streams from the battery by utilising the grid services revenues ? Enhancing the generation from renewable energy by storing excess in the battery ? Providing back up power if there are any site outages ?
