Jay Malin, Ph.D., is a cofounder of AGENT511 and manages solution architecture for its utility and public safety solutions. He led the company's effort to develop and deploy the first text messaging outage alerts program at ComEd in 2008 and created the company's Twitter outage reporting application and interactive text-based ticketing engine for the City of Chicago. He is an active presenter at numerous 9-1-1 events in the US and Canada and frequently speaks at entrepreneurship and innovation events. Prior to AGENT511, he managed a company that developed a VoIP service delivery platform for the broadband service providers. Malin earned his Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Illinois and MBA at the University of Chicago.
