Retired Senior Attorney, Office of General Counsel, TVA, 2005-2021: Provided legal counsel and acumen to TVA in the drafting, negotiation, and interpretation of various contracts, especially procurement and commercial real estate contracts; legal support of TVA's Supply Chain, Strategic Real Estate & Governance, Facilities Management, Generation Construction, River Operations/Dam Safety, and Transmission organizations. Negotiated, prepared and interpreted contracts for the acquisition or lease of power plants, office buildings and other facilities. Expertise in various aspects of the TVA Act and numerous other federal laws applicable to TVA procurements and GAO bid protests; supports TVA's real property, facilities management, commercial leasing and real estate financing activities, among a host of other duties. Served as OGC's designated "business partner" to the Vice President, River & Resources Stewardship. Also served as the Alternate Designated Agency Ethics Official ("DAEO") and as Deputy DAEO for TVA with significant responsibilities for ethics guidance and policies relating to federal ethics regulations and conflict-of-interest laws.
