Harun Asad is a leader in corporate sustainability and responsibility management with a deep background in innovation, strategy and marketing, and experience at well-known companies, including Consolidated Edison, Kantar Millward Brown and AOL. At Con Edison, Mr. Asad built and managed the corporate sustainability/ESG program and served on the steering committees of several industry sustainability/ESG councils, including The Conference Board, the Electric Power Research Institute, and the Edison Electric Institute. He continues to chair the sustainability committee of the W!SE Institute, a nonprofit focused on helping underserved students with college and career readiness and is a member of the SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) working group for CIGRE, the world’s leading community of power system expertise. Additionally, Mr. Asad is an Adjunct Professor and has taught courses in Ethics & Sustainability and Innovation Management at New York University, guest lectured at other major universities, and is published in InnovationManagement.se, a preeminent resource for innovation news and best practices. He holds an MBA from George Mason University and a Certificate in Sustainability Leadership and Corporate Responsibility from the London Business School. Harun is a competitive tennis player and Professional Tennis Registry certified instructor, an advocate for plant-based nutrition, and enjoys playing scrabble.
