In his current role, Mr. Desmarais focuses on customer outreach and education, utilizing both traditional and digital marketing strategies that tout the cost and conservation benefits of both mechanical and electrical combined heat and power systems, solar solutions, battery storage and the software necessary to integrate with the grid with an end goal of maximum cost and CO2 reduction as well as improved resiliency.

Toward that end, Mr. Desmarais has been instrumental in the development and enhancement of his organization's digital brand, creating sharable video, managing SEO and social media efforts, and raising the profile of CHP, chillers and gas driven water source heat pumps as viable alternative energy sources.

In the past 5 years, Mr. Desmarais has served on several alternative energy panels and has been a feature speaker at events such as the New York City-based “Change Leadership” conference and the Energy Efficiency Symposium at NYARM’s annual conference as well at The Technology & Market Assessment Forum in Philadelphia, PA and The World Energy Engineering Conference in Washington DC.
