Worked on the first SO2 scrubber in the US in the late 60s with Combustion Engineering. Helped develop low NOx firing systems. Led commercialization of CFBs. Worked on or evaluated all new power plant technologies, including CCS/CCUS. Retired from full time work as VP Technology for Alstom Power. Continued to represent the company with MIT and CIBO. More recently initiated development of low excess air firing system with GE. Now consulting for CIBO and course instructor for EUCI. Now a judge for the Carbon XPRIZE.
