Kip Fox is the President of Electric Transmission Texas, LLC (ETT), a joint venture between subsidiaries of American Electric Power (AEP) and Berkshire Hathaway Energy Company (BHE). ETT acquires, constructs, owns and operates transmission facilities within the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), primarily in and around the AEP Texas service territory. ETT currently has over $3 billion in transmission assets. Prior to his role as President of ETT, Mr. Fox held positions of increasing responsibility throughout the past 10 years within AEP in Operations, Transmission Asset Development, Regulatory and RTO Policy for Southwest Power Pool (SPP), ERCOT, and Mid-continent Independent System Operator (MISO). Mr. Fox has been a strong advocate for competitive transmission development in the Stakeholder process for AEP and Transource Energy, LLC, a joint venture between AEP and Great Plains Energy. Prior to his roles in the transmission organization of AEP, Mr. Fox was a consultant specializing in the transition of traditional transmission and generation operations to a Day Ahead market in place today. Mr. Fox has 30 years management experience in energy trading, utility operations, market operations and transmission with American Electric Power Corp., Minnesota Municipal Power Agency, Tennessee Valley Authority and Entergy Corp. Mr. Fox earned a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Virginia Tech and master's degree in Business Administration from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a former Chapter President and member of the National Society of Professional Engineers. Mr. Fox is also a member of University of Arizona Scholarship Foundation; the Virginia Tech School of Engineering Student Advisory Counsel and Austin Business Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife DJ reside in Austin, Texas.
