Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) Learning and Administration group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as a Training Coordinator for a Two-year project hire assignment.
In this role, you will work a remote 100% virtual schedule 9x80 with every other Friday off!
Responsibilities Include:
  • Work with a high degree of independence and advanced computer skills to provide all aspects of personnel training coordination in accordance with applicable regulatory and company requirements.
  • Support the assigned department by performing training coordination activities to ensure personnel are properly trained and qualified to perform their assigned tasks.
  • Training coordination activities include use of the TRAIN application to develop, maintain, and coordinate job codes, qualifications, employee training plans, required readings, administrative forms and reports; track employee training requirements and schedule training compatible with employee work schedules; ensure training documentation is accurate and entered into the TRAIN system; and process training administrative actions per Lab-wide Training and Qualification Manual.
  • Provide all aspects of training record administration for the training department in accordance with applicable regulatory drivers and company procedures.
  • This includes data entry, scanning, indexing, and filing, into company databases.
  • Serve as a training records interface for all levels of management, subject matter experts, instructors, employees and assessors.
  • Serve as the records administrator (training as well as non-training records) maintaining satellite files, records management plan, record transmittals and record validations.
Perform Training Coordinator duties including:
  • Serve as the assigned organizations' TRAIN expert
  • Provide guidance to the training specialists and/or line management regarding the use of TRAIN
  • Schedule and track completion of training
  • Develop training plans
  • Identify training requirements and update training plans and job codes
  • Set up classes and schedule training for assigned personnel
  • Print rosters for instructors as needed
  • Provide training status reports to management including: 8 week training schedule, no show report, etc
  • Establish new qualifications in TRAIN
  • Establish job codes in TRAIN
  • Maintain accuracy of admin codes
  • Support delivery of web based training
  • Schedule and maintain classrooms
  • Proctor exams
  • Provide and support management, instructors, training developers, and analysts with various training reports
  • Participate in INL Training Coordinator Meetings
Provide other support as necessary:
  • Identify safety concerns and other deficiencies and participate on process improvement teams as requested
  • Participate in department self-assessments
  • Complete required training and qualifications
  • Complete other assigned administrative tasks in support of the assigned organizations
  • Attend safety meetings
  • Assist with assessment and/or audits
  • Perform SOAR observations


  • AS0300 - High School Diploma or Equivalent plus 4 years relevant experience.
  • Experience as a training coordinator is preferred. Vocational Certificate in office or business management is preferred.
  • Experience with a training records system such as TRAIN, is preferred.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" / "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Proficient and competent computer skills with MS Office Suite.
  • Customer focused, self-directed, have excellent telephone and communication skills, and be able to interface with all levels of management, SME's, and training specialists, customers, and internal and external auditors.
  • High degree of organizational skills and be able to handle multiple and often times competing tasks with a high level of competence.
  • Excellent attention to detail in quality checking training records, keying in training record data, and setting up schedules.
